Second Rotation

I plan to leave for my second rotation at 1:00 AM on Sunday morning, Nepal time. I feel ready and excited for what’s ahead.

Over the next few days I have three primary objectives: first, to depart from Base Camp and climb to Camp 2 in a single push, second (after a day of rest) to climb from Camp 2 to Camp 3 and back to Camp 2 in a single day, third and most importantly, is to return to Base Camp feeling healthy and well prepared for the summit rotation.

I plan to be above Base Camp for four nights and will get video and pictures to post when I return. The images from Camp 3 should be awesome.

Thanks to all who are following along and sending well wishes and prayers. Please keep them coming.

Namaste!

Welcome back to BC, brother – we missed you! We trust your climbing to C3 filled you with awe and even more confidence to further empower you in the weeks to come.

Undoubtedly you deserve a nice little break (and all that luxurious thick O2). Enjoy it, rest up, stay healthy, stay strong!

This has been an exciting adventure for all of us to be on thanks to your great pics and explanation of all that is happening. The Ice Falls are unbelievable to see and watch you all climb thru. Many prayers are going with you.

Good luck on your second rotation. I can’t wait to see your pictures. I found your blog through your Edgewater connection. I’ve been a “couch surfer” of Everest expeditions for many years, and I have to say your pictures have been some of the best I’ve seen. Keep up the good work and best of luck as you go down the path to prepare for your summit. Namaste!
